On May 7\u20138th 2026, the K.G. Jebsen Centre for Myeloid Blood Cancer CMYC, led by Professor Bj\u00f8rn Tore Gjertsen, organized for the first time an interactive workshop on the topic of statistics in clinical studies. The aim of the workshop was to bring together clinicians, researchers, and statisticians to strengthen collaboration and facilitate exchange of experiences across disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was held in excellent surroundings in the Proton Building at Haukeland University Hospital and received positive feedback from participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We would like to express special thanks to Nina Louise Jebsen, Amy Kirkwood, and Ourania Dafni for contributing as speakers. Jebsen is an Associate Professor, oncologist and head of the Clinical Research Unit at Haukeland University Hospital, project manager for the NorCRIN secretariat, and a collaborator in CMYC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kirkwood is a statistician and Associate Professor in clinical cancer studies at University College London and the Cancer Research UK Cancer Trials Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ourania Dafni is a Professor of Biostatistics and Head of the Laboratory of Biostatistics at the Faculty of Nursing, School of Health Sciences, University of Athens (since 1998), as well as a visiting professor at the University of Lausanne (since 2018).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jebsen senter for myeloid blodkreft CMYC, ledet av professor Bj\u00f8rn Tore Gjertsen, for f\u00f8rste gang en interaktiv workshop med tema statistikk i kliniske studier<\/em>.
